The Doherty Family

We live in Tooban Donegal with our six children ranging from 2 to 14- three boys and three girls. We live in a big house in the countryside with stunning lake and sea views. We live a few minutes drive from the Northern Ireland border, and very close to historical sites and beaches.. We have two cats Ginger and Rosie, a dog Pixie and 10 free range chickens. We are an experienced host family. We have a large garden with a log cabin and hot tub for recreational use. We can accommodate two students at our family home, provided they are different nationalities. Exception to this rule applies to siblings or relatives who express a wish to stay together You will get to enjoy what the countryside has to offer; the stunning lake and sea views, meeting our six children, our dog Pixie, cats Ginger and Rosie and our 10 chickens. Fresh eggs from our free range hens are guaranteed every day of your stay. You will get to enjoy walks, cycling and in June/July we make Elderflower cordial from locally sourced Elderflower trees. After a long day you can relax in our hot tub, watch the sunset & enjoy the scenic views or have a movie night in our log cabin. Our nearest airports are Knock Airport 2hr 33mins; Dublin Airport 3hr 5mins transport time to our house
