The children will spend a year together, 6 months in each other's country in turn. Thus the children integrate easily by going to school, by practicing various activities, by living the daily life like his brother or his exchange sister. They will learn the codes of their new country, their new family and will thus immerse themselves in a second culture.

To learn a new language
We think we can say that the children come back almost bilingual (spoken language), at least for the 6-month program. The results are excellent. The children speak their new language like children of their age. Some children come back with excellent pronunciation and intonation.
Linguistic immersion is more effective among the youngest. Contrary to what many people believe, young children develop and thrive on long-term conversations. They integrate into a new family quickly, are less complicated and accept the rules of the foreign family much more easily than teenagers. That being said, we also carry out very beautiful exchanges, with motivated and courageous teenagers who have a taste for adventure and effort.
A real linguistic immersion thanks to HEBE Adventures
Most of our language exchange children do not speak the language of their exchange country at all. After the first week in the country, we ask that all access to their own language be eliminated (books, digital applications, etc…). The children will experience real immersion by living with their exchange family. They will be part of the family, like the other children in the family. They will have the same rights and the same duties. Thanks to this immersion (family, country, language), the children are able to hold a normal conversation after six months. We have put in place rules that seem strict in order to allow children to live their adventure in immersion. Our families tell us how much these rules have enabled them to manage their language exchange and the children to be able to learn their new language.
Language exchange children spend an entire year together! It actually creates lifelong bonds between children and families. The children will get into the habit of seeing each other again after the exchange, during the holidays. Families will also enjoy getting together, between “parents” of the same “children”.
