Airport transfers can be provided by your Host Family or you can arrange them yourself. If your Host Family does the airport transfers they will be waiting at the Arrivals gate when your child lands.
These are some of the airlines that your child can fly with; Aer Lingus, Aer France, Iberia, Vueling and many more. Some of these will require you to purchase an unaccompanied minor service. Any child under the age of 16 cannot fly with Ryanair
Before any trip takes place strict vetting procedures are adhered to. Host Families must be police verified (Garda vetting), as well as vetted by Famworld, where a member of the Famworld team does a house visit meeting the family and inspecting the home. Parents can also do their own vetting by having a video call with the Host Family before booking a trip.

Yes if the Host Family is happy to take two students at the same time then yes they can accept 2 students. The 2nd child must create their own profile and book a trip separately.
This will depend no where your Host Family is located, message Host Families to find out what airports suit them.
In case of emergencies the Famworld team will collect your child and bring them to one of our standby Host Families. Famworld has over 1600 Host Families registered all across Ireland, and always has many Host Families on standby in case of emergencies.
Yes, you can chat with the family and even have a video call with them before paying the deposit to reserve the trip.
The Host Family will contact the doctor and bring your child there if necessary. You must cover the healthcare costs. We advise students to bring their EU healthcare if they are from the EU as they will have access to cheaper healthcare. Famworld purchase Trip Insurance for each student. Every student is covered with an insurance policy, issued by Gaurd Me and White Horse. In this case you must pay the amount due and claim back separately from the insurer. You will receive your child’s insurance information and contact details once you have paid in full for the trip.
When you are ready to book, you can reserve the family. You will receive an invoice shortly after. You will pay 50% to reserve the booking. 50% will be due 4 weeks before your child’s Arrival. The Family will not be secured until the deposit is paid.
