Situations arise spontaneously and you have to rely only on your level of English to understand and be understood. You will always have your app on your smartphone, perhaps useful for some doubts. But you will soon forget about it and you will realize that nothing can replace the satisfaction of being able to speak English and get by on your own in any situation.
