MOONEY ファミリー

We are the Mooney Coffey family, made up of myself (mother) and my husband Shane, and our two children, Harvey (age 20) Haven (Age 13). I work as a Design manager for an Interior Architecture practice, and Shane works as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural practice. Harvey works in a nursing home, Haven is in 1st year in secondary school, and plays GAA and soccer. As a family, we spend all of our spare time together, either cooking and baking, or going to the parks and playgrounds at weekends. We love to cook and bake. I lived in Italy (Rimini) during the summers, when I was much younger, so we cook a lot of Italian food and desserts, as pasta is part of our diet. Shane makes pizzas by hand, and I make lasagna, bolognese, arrabiata and tiramisu alot. We love spicy food. Shane plays a guitar a little, as he was in a band when he was a teenager, and he is teaching Haven how to play Guitar and Piano (we have an electric piano and several small guitars in the house). We live in a 4 bedroom, semi-detached house in Swords, North County Dublin, close to the airport. Our area is quiet, and close to St. Finians school (10 minutes by foot). We are close to Applewood Village and where there are shops, and a fitness gym with swimming pool. We live on the bus route to the Main Street, where there is a shopping mall & cinema, and on the bus route to the city centre. We are excited to have a new student come to join our family, as we know that it will be another good experience for our children, and also for us. We love to play board games in the evenings, watch movies or go to the park / beach when the weather is permitting.We have many years of experience in hosting Italian, Spanish, French, German and Japanese students, and have learned a lot along the way, especially about their native cuisines. We love to cook dishes from around the world, having been well travelled ourselves also. We look forward to sharing a memorable experience with our next students. We remain in contact with all of our past students, most of whom stayed with us for the academic year, attending a local school.
