La familia Mallet

Hi, June here. We are a family of 6. Our eldest daughter Jessica is in college in Sligo, so she is only down for the occasional weekend or few days with her boyfriend. Our second daughter Abigail no longer lives at home, she works full time. Our son Scott finished school last June and started an electrician apprenticeship in October. Our youngest daughter Kim finished school last June and is currently doing a one year post school course. My husband mark has just gone back to work having been a student for several years. He was called to The Bar in October 2023, which was a fantastic achievement. I am at home full time. Up until January of 2023 I, along with a team of carers looked after my elderly parents who lived with us. Sadly they passed away within 4 months of each other, although they were both in their 90's. Before I looked after my parents I worked as a childminder. As a result I have always been looking after someone and am used to a busy household!We have always had an 'open house' policy with our children, ie. their friends have always been welcome and we have several 'extra' children as a result. Over the years we have always had lots of animals too, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and rabbits. The pets we have now are all old, except for one cat. Grasse Cottage is my family home, my parents first moved here in 1956, we moved back in about 12 years ago to help my parents and give them a bit of support. When the children were younger they were in the Scouts, did sea rowing and my son is still a very keen rugby player. We are very rarely all in the house together, hence the lack of a singular group photo. The single person photo is of Abigail.We have one room to accommodate 3 students, one bunk bed and a single bed.
