We are a family of three, Mum, Dad, and son aged 14. Mum is a Communications Officer and works 4 days a week at a children's charity, mostly from home. Dad (an artist) works in a Secondary School assisting those with additional needs. Our son goes to a local mixed community school. He loves football (soccer), plays for a team, and plays hurling. Loves music, plays games with friends on PS5. Likes going out with friends. Enjoys films, golf, bikes, fishing, walks and travelling.
As a couple and then as a family, we have travelled widely: Spain, Tarragona, Seville, Valencia, Salou, Málaga, Barcelona, Alicante, Bilbao. France: Biarritz area, Paris. Italy: Lake Garda, Milan, Florence, Venice, Jesolo. As well as North America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Bangkok.
We lived in the UK and moved to Dublin (mum is Irish) in 2018. We live in a 3-bed terraced house in a suburb/village area 10/15 mins drive to Dublin City Centre. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with a modern family bathroom (shower, bath, toilet, sink). Carpet on the stairs and landing; everywhere else is good-quality laminate flooring. Downstairs, there is a toilet and sink, a sitting room, a large hall, and an extension with a modern kitchen and living area, with double glass doors that lead out to our back garden, which is a mix of astro (football-mad son) and plants/trees. There is a purpose-built cabin/art studio there too.
The area has many bus routes connecting us to schools, universities, and Dublin city centre. There is a small shopping mall 8-10 minutes' walk away with a gym, supermarket, other shops/cafes, Starbucks, McDonald's, and a pharmacy. There is a lovely library and a local shop on our street. There is a village 5 minutes' walk away with shops, cafes, a post office, a police station and other services.
